Twenty Five Years – Sharing Gospel Through Satellite for Afghanistan
November 9, 1998: The first Christian gospel video appeared online for Afghanistan.
Originally recorded for the web on November 9, 1998, in Mukharji Nagar, New Delhi, India, this video was edited in Adobe Premiere 4.2 using its Blue Screen Key to composite subjects over custom backgrounds. These short, monthly Bible programs ran until May 1999, after which we prepared to move to the United States of America due to threats from fanatical Afghan Muslims.
The websites and email at the end of the video are no more valid because Trypod.com stopped providing free webspaces.

This program was recorded in Laurel, MD, only six months after we moved from New Delhi, India, to the United States of America. My large mic is hiding under my shirt—one of the few things I was able to bring from New Delhi. It was recorded on a Sony CCD-TRV43.

This is the first-ever Persian Language (Dari) Christian program broadcast via satellite.
This short program in Dari (Afghan Persian), featuring two songs about love, was broadcast via satellite to Afghanistan on December 14, 2001. Was prodused by Mark W. This occurred almost 10 months before the first Persian Christian television broadcasts began for Iran in September 2002, when Iranian Christian Broadcasting (ICB) started airing weekly programs on SAT-7’s Arabic channel.
This is the first-ever live Dari-language gospel proclamation broadcast via satellite to Afghanistan.
The first live Christian TV program for Afghanistan aired on April 22, 2008, from a studio in Virginia Beach. This inaugural broadcast featured the testimony of “Brother Khalil,” who used a pseudonym for his safety, as he was planning to visit Afghanistan. This marked the start of a new era in gospel outreach for the country, later expanding to feature Noorullah Noor, Shoaib Ebadi, Saleh, Abrahim Ferotan, and many others—all of whom now host their own live TV programs.
